[root@uf5 opt]# cd /opt/splunkforwarder/bin
[root@uf5 bin]# ./splunk start --accept-license
bash: ./splunk: cannot execute binary file
[root@uf5 bin]# bash path/to/mynewshell.sh
bash: path/to/mynewshell.sh: No such file or directory

how can i fix that showing 

bash: ./splunk: cannot execute binary file. please help me

The most likely cause (apart from an error in transfer but that should trigger an error in unpacking the software) is that you downloaded a release for a wrong architecture (i.e. you're trying to run a 64-bit executable on a 32-bit machine).
