Will changing Splunk Web ssl certificate alone have any effect on the secure communications between SE components ?

Hi

I would like to replace the Splunk self signed certificate on a heavy forwarder for Splunk Web and found a document called  "Configure Splunk Web to use TLS certificates".  We want to use a valid signed certificate so user's don't get the untrusted web site warning from their browsers.

Will changing just the Splunk Web ssl certificate have any effect on the secure communications between Splunk Enterprise components?  If someone can point me in the right direction, that would be great!

Thanks

Tim
