Why is there an issue while installing version 8.2.6?

Hi,

We are trying to install the Splunk in D drive as we are having some storage issue in C drive. We are unable to modify the path for installation from C to D. Please help to overcome this issue.

Hi @gcusello ,

I have followed the steps mentioned in the documentation.

While installing at a particular point I am facing "Rolling Back Action" popup. So that, all the installed files of Splunk are getting erased. I have attached the screen shot of that particular issue.

After Rolling Back Action it is showing one more message "Splunk Enterprise Setup Wizard ended prematurely". I have attached that screenshot too.

I will attach the error message in the attachment. 

Please let me know how to overcome that.

NOTE : I want Splunk to be installed in D drive only not in C drive even though we have enough space in C. Because C is used for some other purposes.

did yu followed the installation procedure  at https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/8.2.6/Installation/InstallonWindows ?

If yes, what's the error message or the not correct situation ?
