I hear there will be a maintenance window for Splunk Answers between 5:00AM – 9:00AM EDT on Thursday, April 27, 2017. Can anyone provide more details on this?
On Thursday, April 27, 2017 between 5:00AM – 9:00AM EDT, Splunk Answers will be undergoing maintenance to upgrade the core platform it is hosted on. The site will still be up and available, but all users who are usually active on Answers during this time should plan accordingly in case there are intermittent issues.
If Answers is unavailable, you are more than welcome to ask for help from the Splunk user community in our Slack chat group where 2000+ members around the world hang out and troubleshoot issues in real time. If you are already a member, awesome! If not, you can submit a request to join the Slack group here. Once you receive the invitation email, join the community in the #general channel and chat to your heart’s content.
After the maintenance window is complete, if you come across any bugs while using the site, please email answers-support@splunk.com and explain the issue with as much detail as possible. We will get it filed as soon as we can and prioritize critical bugs to be fixed ASAP.
