When installing Splunk trial version, I'm receiving the following "bad request" licensing error: "The license signature is not a base64-encoded string"

Hi,

I have installed the Splunk 6.1.2 and when I am trying to install the trial version license, I am getting the following error:

 "Bad Request — In handler 'licenses': enttrial.lic: failed to parse license because: The license signature is not a base64-encoded string (1)"

Any leads?
