Upgrade splunk server from 4.0.9 to 4.2

We have a splunk server(running on RHEL5) with version 4.0.9 and we are planning to upgrade it to 4.2 version. Can anyone please let me know the procedure for upgrading it to 4.2 from 4.0.9? And also we are planning to upgrade the app *NIX from the beta version to the latest one which is available. I really appreciate if some one can provide me the steps to do upgrade this as well? Thanks.
