Unable to re-add Splunk license only 1 week into a 6-month free enterprise dev trial?

I got a free Splunk Enterprise Dev/Test License for 6 months, I just used it for a week and I removed the license to test one functionality and now when I am trying to add the license back it gives me error saying"Bad Request — Splunk.License: failed to add because: stack already has this license, cannot add again".

How can I resolve this issue?

Do you have anything under license stack under the licensing page?

Went to C:/Splunk/etc/licenses folder and I deleted the license. Restarted Splunk and tried to add the license back and it worked.
