Hello,

Is the kernel 5.4.x supported for universal forwarder 8.2.0?

I referred to the following document, but it seems unclear.

https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/8.2.0/Installation/Systemrequirements

Please let me know.

An empty box indicates software is not supported for this platform.

Hello KV,

Thank you for your reply.
I already have confirmed the above table.
However I seem to be supported to kernel 5.x at the below table.

Does the kernel 5.x not include 5.4.x?

Thanks,
hjm

I think kernel 5.x include 5.4.x kernel Linux distributions also.

As I gone through all download pages as well I think 5.4.x kernel Linux distributions is only distribution from 5.x kernel which support Enterprise License, Free License and Trial License and with the reason it kept in two different row.

So my suggestion, just download ,extract ad run start command. 🙂

Thanks

I think so too.

I think that it is a sure way, but I had wanted to know before running the universal forwarder.

Thank you very much.
