Loading Downloaded Apache Access Logs

Hi,

I need to very quickly and easily import Apache access logs downloaded from hosting company. Is this possible with Splunk? I have installed it and tried to load the files, but no data is available for analysis after loading. Thanks.

That's possible, very much so.

As for figuring out what's going on after your attempt, hard to say without more information.
Check out http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/latest/SearchTutorial/GetthetutorialdataintoSplunk for a detailed example on getting data into Splunk for offline analysis, it even includes access logs as sample data.
