Hi,

I just downloaded Splunk for 2.6 kernel linux distributions (64-bit).
How does licensing work and how many days do i have or do i just install/setup splunk
and go from there or do i need the key for it?

How does splunk work?

do i setup splunk server and on the client install the client agent or what?
please give me some insight so i can get things start and test out.

Thanks,
KL.

About Splunk free.
After 60 days, without an enterprise license, the instance will switch to the free license. And some functionalities will go away (authentication, distributed search ...)
