We have recently moved to a free license from a trial. Unfortunately, the trial had expired for several days before the move was completed. This means we have gone over our daily license usage for several days, before the switch to the free license was completed.
Is there any way we can clear these violations as it is currently stopping us from performing searches, etc...??

Contact your sales representative or raise a ticket with regards to licensing (license@splunk.com I think). Tell them the situation and ask for a reset key/license.
