Installation

Getting Expired License message and says to log on as administrator.

I just moved to a new PC.  When I try to launch Splunk I get an error  message "Your license is expired.  Please login as an administrator to update the license."  How do I login as an administrator?

I reinstalled Splunk, but I'm still having this issue.

You use an account that has admin privileges. Usually you create one during the installation. Older versions used to have a default account (user:admin and pass:changeme) nowadays you just create one. If you forgot you can use these solutions to reset the password:
