Bin folder is missing after splunk installation?

hi All,

I  installed Splunk Enterprise  windows v9.1.0.1 but o inside C:\Program Files\Splunk> I can see only these folders /etc /python , share and /var , other folders are missing including /bin. Has anyone else faced this issue?

Hi @sonam12 ,

if you don't see the other folders as bin, your istallation failed, remove it and retry.

If it fails again, open a case to Splunk Support.

I suppose that you're using one of the laste Windows versions (Win10 or 11), if not, which one?

When I am freshly installing Splunk enterprise  v9.2.1 on windows server 2019 via CLI , I am able to see all other directories except /bin, but at the same time if i download it using UI , it works….. how can i proceed further , any insights on it?

In MSI logs we failCA erro, what could be the reason, there is no hardware issues as well 😓

as also @marnall said, which is the CLI command you used

Even if I use CLI onsi if I have to use an unattended installation, otherwise, I always use directly the msi.

What if you retry the CLI command on another machine, there's the same issue?

About the failCA, could you share your message?

Try to search this message on the Community, probably is a known message or issue.

Can you share your command used to install it via CLI? Also I assume you are running with Administrator privileges when installing.
