Adding peer to the indexing cluster

Hi All,

can you let me  know the detailed  prerequisites required for adding  peer  to the cluster ?

Also help me regarding the pre -requisites and post-requisites required for upgradation of the plan for version 8.0.5 to 8.1.2?
