I get a message at the top of the UI that warns: Your license will soon expire on Fri Mar 2, although I downloaded 4.3 less then a month ago.

I am using the out of the box splunk trial license that suppose to be good for 60 days.

Can you supply a longer trial license for 4.3 version?

This is actually an issue with the license functionality and the automatic expiration function. When working correctly, the license lifetime should start counting down from the first time you start up a new installation.

We have refreshed most the packages on the download page but you can also access an updated enterprise trial license here

To apply it, simply place the file in $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/licenses/download-trial/ and restart the Splunk instance. If your browser just displays the raw license .xml contents, just copy that text to a file called enttrial.lic in the above location.

Hi,

The enterprise trial license on the link provided in the previous post has been expired on May 7, any chance that I can get an update license that will work with version 4.2 for couple months? I am trying to get the version 4.2 installed to test the deployment server feature before rolling it out to our production server (i.e. with proper licenses of course) that are still at the same version. Thanks in advance for your help.
