We are moving our SPLUNK instance to our AWS account. We have missed the account credentials that is tied with the current license we are using. Would it be possible to get the account details, email/username, that is associated our current license.

That really worked . I synced the entire splunk home directory. and it worked
Your Splunk account representative can help with that, but it should be unnecessary. Just copy the $SPLUNK_HOME./etc/licenses directory to the new instance.

I have a new version of splunk installed on the new machine (Version 8.0.5) can i just copy the splunk from the old machine (Version 6.5.3) to the new one , will this work ?.
