what is the difference between port tcp 8191 and tcp port 8080 used in Splunk communication

8191 is used for the kvstore, 8080 could be used for replication in your environment, it is frequently changed to another port like 9887 to avoid proxy ports in an org. Check which instance is calling whom and confirm.
