I need to install splunk apps using Chef cookbook, but i am unable to find a URL, that will let me use wget or curl, to download app

You can piece together a URL for it, see this previous answer for some guidance.

Chris I am looking for the apps URLs e.g.

  1. https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/273/
  2. https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/1274/
  3. etc etc

Oh, got it, I didn't realize you were asking about Splunkbase apps specifically. I don't think there is any wget capability for Splunkbase.

You have to log in, but logging in via script, wget or curl isnt that hard either.
