splunk db connect_informix table content messy code

hi guys,
we use db connect to test informix database.but all the query result is messy code. i guess maybe is the charset issues. so how can we solve this issue? are there any guys met this problem before. it seems there are no place in splunk db connect web ui to set the charset?
