If I have created a number of extractions and they are all set to private, is there a quick way to change all these objects to Global with All users able to read and Admin able to write?

Copy all the extraction settings from your location to the $APP_HOME/local folder. Edit $APP_HOME/metadata/local.meta for each object in the props and transforms. For example, We had a SunLDAP server, so I have this in local.meta:

[props/sun_slapd/EXTRACT-ldap_conn_from]
access = read : [ * ], write : [ admin ]
export = none
owner = alacercogitatus
version = 5.0.1

If you want to apply those permissions by default, do this in local.meta:

[]
access = read : [ * ], write : [ admin ]
export = none
