Getting Data In

o365 add-on upgrade

Hello,

I need to upgrade the o365 add-On to the latest version on both the search head and the heavy forwarder, can someone guide me the upgrade process, like how can I upgrade and if need to take any backups etc? thanks in advance.

What version is currently installed?

because there are some contraints described at https://splunk.github.io/splunk-add-on-for-microsoft-office-365/Upgrade/

Anyway in this url you can find all the instructions for your upgrade.

as you can read at the above url, you can directly upgrae from 4.6.0 to 5.1.0, following the instructions in the URL.
