Why can't I see the Forwarder Inputs section under Data Inputs after upgrade from Splunk 6.1.4 to 6.2 and using DB Connect 1.1.4?

I followed the following steps while while upgrading from Splunk 6.1.4 to 6.2, but the Forwarder Inputs section under Data Inputs disappeared. What should I do?

1. Back up dbx folder to a new directory
2. Upgrade splunk version 6.1.4 to 6.2
3. Check Settings—>Data Inputs —> Forwarded Inputs section appeared
4. Stop splunk
5. Restore dbx folder
6. Restart splunk
7. Check Settings--> Data Inputs —> Forwarded Inputs section disappeared
8. Remove dbx folder and restart splunk
9. Install db connect fresh from apps version 1.1.4
10. Check settings —> Data Inputs —Forwarded Inputs section disappeared
