Getting Data In

Where does Splunk put custom source types created in Splunk Web?

I know that I can create custom source types by adding them to /etc/system/local/props.conf. However, I've created a custom source type via Splunk Web, but the props.conf file noted above does not reflect that change.

I'd like to know where custom source types that are created via the GUI are stored, since I can't seem to find them in any of the obvious places.

How did you create new sourcetype via GUI? Is it through Add Data wizard?

check in etc/apps/search/local/props.conf
