Using cURL to understand REST API

How to install curl ?
What version i can install ?
Is there any dependencies i need to install to use cURL?
please help me in understanding REST API with cURL , Kindly provide any links to download cURL and guide

Windows Server 2008 R2
64-bit OS
Cloud machine

See this set of instructions to install Curl on Windows. You can also use the rest search command to access the REST API (provided you are using a Splunk account with admin privileges).
