Unable to send logs into Splunk from Django REST API

Hi,

I need to send logs from a Django REST API to Splunk via Syslog protocol.
I am currently facing connection issues with the host and port I am using.

Can someone please advise me on what port or host should be used to send such logs into Splunk?
Do I need to know what indexer I will be storing these logs on also?
