Teradata Events to Splunk

I need to take teradata Events to splunk. Currectly Teradata Event viewer is one which I am using to monitor the teradata Events.
However I am looking to get those events into Splunk from Teradata Event viewer.
I thought of two Approaches till now :
1. Reading Flat file of Teradata Events using SPlunk UF
2. Sending Teradata Events to Syslog and from syslog to splunk.
However As per Teradata Support , Teradata does to have capability to write Events to Flat file or sending them to syslog server.

Can anyone help me here pls ...

@sumgadde you can use Splunk DB Connect app with JDBC driver to connect to Teradata. Refer to the list supported drivers:

https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/DBX/3.1.4/DeployDBX/Installdatabasedrivers

Thanks Niket !! I think dbconnect is to fetch teradata records. Actually I am looking for Events for Teradata healthcheck. Can we fetch Teradata healthcheck events using dbconnect ?
