Getting Data In

Splunk rest post command

Hello,

I need to process some REST requests within Splunk, with functions that rest command provides me (for example splunk_server_group filtering). I have what I need when I do GET requests, but is it possible to do POST requests in that way?

To be simpler - I need for the "rest" Splunk command to support POST requests too.

Is it possible?

Unfortunately the in-built rest command only supports GET requests.
If you want to just trigger an action then the POST Workflow actions may probably help, however if you're wanting to use the data returned from the POST then you're going to need something a little more bespoke, a simple Python modular input might help?
