Splunk Reading MQ Messages with MQMD Header

Hi

Would like to get recommendations on using Splunk as a Data Backup repository for MQ Messages.

We are trying to use Splunk as our message repository for all the messages which goes through MQ.
We would like to get the MQMD header details as well to be backed up so that we have the true message received as is.
Has any one tried it with Splunk? MQMD header looks like binary data when part of the message.
Can Splunk be able to index such data?

Thanks
