Splunk Forwarder 6.1.4 - no site defined in server.conf, Could not bind to Port 8090

Hello, Please move if in wrong forum,

I have seen many responses to these questions, but looking for others that had success. Installed Forwarder 6.1.4 and received messages:

Error ServerConfig-Found no site defined in server.conf

Fatal HTTPServer-Could not bind to Port 8090

Anyone have idea about them? I have started using posted responses with no success

Thanks
B

Delete $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/system/local/server.conf and restart.

Are you trying to build a multi-site index cluster?

No sir, just a simple 2 server config. One Splunk Server and One Forwarder Server.

Thanks!

Is this a new default setup or do you have any pre existing customized configuration settings?
