Splunk Enterprise deployment on AWS fails.

I followed the Splunk Enterprise Deployment guide and created a stack on my existing AWS VPC. I was in the middle of configuration when the CF process did a rollback due to some "Failed to receive 1 resource signal(s) within the specified duration" exception. What signal did it miss? I UI was up and running and I had several configuration steps complete. Was there an installation step I missed?

could be an issue with the AWS side- have you disabled rollback on failure option as mentioned here - https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/knowledge-center/cloudformation-failed-signal/
