Is it possible to configure two scripted third party authentication types in authentication.conf with precedence so it tries one, then the other?

I'm wondering if I can configure 2 scripted third party authentication types at the same time. I just want to configure them both in authentication.conf and have a precedence so it tries one then the other.

I've tried it and it's not working for me so far.

Thanks.

Write a wrapper script that calls one first, uses that result if it succeeds, and calls the second scripted method if the first fails.

Thanks for the response. So basically it can't be done with Splunk's provided configs and resources you think? Ok I'll need to get someone to help me look at that wrapper script maybe. The use case is that the users authenticate by one means and the escalation team are a different company with their own management AD to authenticate against.
