Getting Data In

Instructions for Windows: I don't use Mac OS

If you go to:
(Splunk Web Framework Overview)
http://dev.splunk.com/view/web-framework/SP-CAAAER6

Getting Started launches right in:

The Web Framework from zero to 60

Want to create and customize an app, fast? Follow these steps for **Mac OS X* to see how easy it is. If you haven't already, set up the Web Framework: etc...etc..etc...*

That's all great; The Splunk tech writer has a Mac.
News flash: Not everyone in the Splunk community uses a Mac as their platform.
For many of us, this isn't even an option.
So what do I do now? Go out and buy a Mac so I can use the Splunk documentation?
Suggestion: Please, don't forget about the Windows platform as you write your documentation.
There are still two or three of us Windows users still around.

Happy holidays.

Thanks

Actually the Splunk tech writer does use and love her PC too 🙂
I'll update the 0-60 instructions soon to include Windows. Thanks for the feedback!
