Getting Data In

I can not sort the fields which were loaded from csv file.

ohuchi
Explorer

Usually I can use the triangle button for field sorting of the table.

But I can not use the triangle button for the fields which were loaded from csv file.

I did as follows.

source=My.CSV | table Fld1 Fld2 Fld3

It shows as follows.

Fld1* Fld2* Fld3* (* : triangle button for sort)
V3-1 V3-2 V3-3
V2-1 V2-2 V2-3
V1-1 V1-2 V1-3

I clicked the triangle button.
But nothing was happened.

Is there any restriction for the sorting?

My environment is Windows 7, IE9, Splunk version is 6.0.3.

regards

I can use "on-the-fly" sort button on my environments with using your sample data on later versions.

Splunk 6.1.3 and Splunk 6.2.0 on CentOS 7 x 64bit. Firefox 33.0.3 on Windows 7.

Is your data format "V#-#", is it right? I know some "on-the-fly" sort's limitations; if data contains "data and time" format, "on-the-fly" sort doesn't work on it.

Best Regards,
