How to reindex the file when file added new lines in the tail?

I use moniter the directory /etc to see the file content, and edit the file inputs.conf as follows:

[monitor:///etc]

followTail = 0

sourcetype = configfile

index = configfile

disabled = false

and edit the file props.conf as follows:
[configfile]

CHECK_METHOD = modtime

SHOULD_LINEMERGE = True

MAX_EVENTS = 12000000

TRUNCATE = 0

DATETIME_CONFIG = NONE

I can get the whole file content as one event when file inserted new lines before the last line or deleted lines or updated lines, it is right for me.

but only I get added new lines when I added new lines in the tail, I need to get the whole file content after changed, how to do it?

As per http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/6.0.2/Admin/propsconf on CHECK_METHOD:

* Important: this option is only valid for [source::<source>] stanzas.
