How to find universal forwarder IP address?

Hello. I installed free universal forwarder from splunk website now i installed it on my pc but what is the ip address for that instance, how to find it.

I think you installed the universal forwarder mistakenly. It sounds like you want to install Splunk enterprise trial instead.

Why do you care? Your PC will have a different IP address all the time so you should not use the IP Address for any configurations. You should use your computer name. Explain what it is you are trying to do.

you need to install splunk server first, than you can install forwarder that which machine data you want to forward.
