How do you Ingest data from Bitbucket repositories to Splunk?

Hello,

I have been tasked to make a Splunk dashboard that shows reports from Bitbucket pull requests, branches, commits, etc. Can you guys help me out and provide some guidance on how to start, or where to look? Maybe i can code my own Splunk add-on that consumes the bitbucket REST API (i don't know if this can be done, it's just an idea that i came up with)? Maybe i can use a tool (for free and not paid) ?.
