How do I create a Linux Splunk testing environment on VMware?

Hi,

I am trying to create a testing environment for Splunk. I want to create an infrastructure of about 4 Linux environments: 2 forwarders, 1 indexer, and 1 deployment server. Can someone suggest a method to make this happen?

Create four Linux VMs (or ask your VMware admin to it). Then log on to each VM and install Splunk the same way you would on a physical machine.
