Getting Data In

Has anyone attempted to use Mango for data transfer into Splunk Cloud?

I am wondering if anyone had figured out a good solution for pulling in data from various modbus components, and sending those to Splunk Cloud?

We can do this using our own software on a local server, which polls modbus data periodically and stores it in local files for a Splunk Forwarder to pickup and push.

I am looking for a more elegant solution, perhaps using a hardware appliance (Mango ES) from Infinite Automation with the intent of reducing on-site footprint and required on-site software support.
