We have to get official Documents.

The universal forwarder is documented in the Distributed Deployment Manual, starting with the topic Introducing the universal forwarder. The Unix instructions are generic but should provide what you need.

The error in the documentation has been fixed. Splunk does support AIX 6.1.

Well, don't hate me, but there is not such a thing like aix 6.2. It should be error in doc. It seems just aix 6.1
