Errors on installing universal forwarder via apt package on ubuntu 12.04

When installing the universal forwarder apt package on an ubuntu 12.04 64bit server following error messages occur:

~$ sudo dpkg -i splunkforwarder-6.1.1-207789-linux-2.6-amd64.deb

Why do these errors occur and what can we do to fix them.

see this http://answers.splunk.com/answers/135483/install-on-ubuntu-1404-fails, it's a known issue and Splunk Dev is working on it.
