Does splunk Enterprise run on Windows Hyper V?

If I want to run an operate splunk 6.3 on Microsoft Hyper-V, what are the requirements? Is this supported?

Yes, Splunk can run on a Hyper-V VM. Performance will not be as good as physical hardware due to hypervisor hardware abstraction.
