I've realised that there is no default Date format, so every date is in timestamp format, and so not readable for the user...
To convert each field in the query ("TO_CHAR...") is very intensiv.
Would it be possible to set a Default Date format on the database source, so that dbconnect always convert it, before display... Should work with dbconnect and dbmon
DBConnect will only convert one timestamp per event - whichever you choose as the time the event itself occurred. All other fields will not be converted before indexing. You can convert at search time by using the convert search command.
Is there no plan to change this in future ?
We use a lot of timestamp : changed, insert timestamps, with a couple of join, I have already about 8 timestamps, that I need to format with to_char...
