Dashboard table call external REST API per row

Getting Data In

I have a Java exceptions table in a dashboard and I would like to invoke Jira REST API calls per row to find out if a Jira defect already exists for the exception.

So, is it possible to invoke a REST API per table event and render the result in Splunk dashboard?
