Add data to index using REST API

Hello Experts,

I have recently started exploring on Splunk API's and trying to find a REST API to Add data to a splunk index.

Can someone guide me as to if this is possible please?

I already referred to the Splunk API documentation and couldn't find an API reference which performs the task. Any inputs/Guidance will be highly appreciated.
