predict future results?

Is there any application, process, or feature of splunk that will preduct future behavior based on past performance? For example, let's say I have a query that will select the total number of tickets per day in a log. Is there a way to predict how many tickets will be generated the next day, week, or month based on past performance? Obviously, this will only be a guess.

If Splunk cannot do that, is there a third party application that integrates with Splunk capable of producing those results?

Thanks.
