Write to metric index using Splunk Java SDK

Hi all,

I am a newbie and had a question on the new Metric index described here : https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/7.0.0/Metrics/GetMetricsInOther .

Is it possible to get the same data using Splunk Java SDK.
