Why can I not modify roles In handler 'users': Could not get info for role that does not exist: winfra-admin?

We are trying to add users and receiving an error that states:

In handler 'users': Could not get info for role that does not exist: winfra-admin

Does anyone have any ideas on why this is occurring and any suggestions on how to get around this so that we can add users?

We have Admin and winfra-admin assigned to us when looking at our assigned roles.

Can you go to Settings -> Roles and then check to see if the role "winfra-admin" actually exists or not. Sometimes so apps/add-ons come with roles with them and when they are removed, the roles get removed but remain the profile of the users who get those roles assigned.

If you do not find the role in the list, please create and restart Splunk if possible. Should fix the issue for you.

Thank you @shivanshu1593

We have it resolved now.

We had to delete the role then went to Settings>Authentication Methods>Reload Authentication Configuration
