Getting "Error resolving: Name or service not known" when trying to browse Apps even after exporting proxy in server.conf. Any other configuration needs to be done?

Hello @rpradeep,

You may want to check if you can resolve well-known hostnames on your server you are hosting your Splunk instance.

For instance, "nslookup splunk.com"

You may want to check if your /etc/resolv.conf file is correct.

Also, Could you double-check if your computer is connected to the Internet? Seems your Splunk instance encountered error connecting to the server.

As an alternative, you can go to splunkbase.splunk.com and browse Splunk apps there. Download the apps you want to install from SplunkBase and in Splunk Web, install directly from the app files.

let me know if this helps!

Thanks Mayur. I managed to install by downloading the app from splunkbase.
All files seems fine & there is internet connectivity. Any other file needs modification other than server.conf?
