Upgrade server operating system with splunk enterprise install
Hello everyone,
I would like to upgrade the OS of the Splunk architecture.
Currently we have the architecture on Windows Server 2012 and we want to upgrade to Windows server 2016. This is because in order to install Splunk Enterprise 8.x I need to haver Win server 2016.
Architecture: SH cluster + Indexer cluster + DS + CM
Is there any cosiderations that I have to take in count?
Thanks in advance

Have the upgrade an specific order?
I mean, first the Cluster Manager, then the Indexers or something like that.
Thanks in advance.

If you're only changing the OS and not the Splunk version then the order doesn't matter.

That's more of a Windows question than a Splunk question.
As long as the current and future OS versions are supported by Splunk you should be fine.
