Splunk open source 500MB limit

Hi,
Does the 500MB limit apply to the open source version of Splunk (Java sdk that Splunk opens up)

The 500MB limit relates entirely to the Splunk indexer, the Java SDK is just a set of programming API's to interact with Splunk, if you add data through it then it will still go through the licensing mechanism and count towards your limit.
